Hampton Villages

Hampton Hargate was one the first of the villages to be delivered in Hampton, this location was well received and widely celebrated for the open, natural and community spaces. A few years later the village of Hampton Vale began to see its first residents, modern, fun, and full of character Hampton Vale offers stunning environmental and a real community feels. As the success of Hampton grew, so did the requirement for more homes and schools and this thriving township now boasts six villages in total including Hampton Centre, Hampton Heights, Hampton Gardens, Hampton Water, with two further villages, Hampton Wood and Hampton Beach, still to come. All of the villages in Hampton offer their own unique charm and offer a great location for people to live and enjoy.

The first village established at Hamptons East, Hampton Gardens sits to the south of Teardrop Lake and is centered around a community orchard, which will be delivered as part of the development.
The Hampton Gardens Secondary school, which opened in 2012, is located to the south of the scheme and a primary school, due to open in September 2020 sits at the southern entrance adding to the family-friendly nature of the Village.

Hampton Woods will be the final Village at Hamptons East. Last but not least, the village is surrounded by nature, with the Country Park located to the south and lakeside views of Beeby's North and Beeby's East. With its close proximity to the Green Wheel cycleway, this also provides a crossing directly into the Crown Lakes Country Park for residents to enjoy.

Hampton Centre sits at the heart of the Hamptons, surrounded by a wide variety of leisure and retail amenities.
Situated to the south of the Serpentine Green Shopping Centre, this provides direct access to a range of including M&S, Next, H&M, Boots, Tesco, Holland & Barratt, and many more...

There are also a number of restaurants in walking distance including Bella Italia, Chiquitos, Toby Carvery and Frankie & Bennies, as well as local amenities including the CSK Church, Co-op, and the Big Slide play area; providing a lively atmosphere for residents of all ages.

As part of O&H Land's ambition to innovate and create a real balance between environmental landscaping and living space, the village is set alongside Teardrop lake, surrounded by reed beds creating an idyllic setting. A footpath sits along the edge of the lakeside, allowing residents to make the most of the feature all year round with further landscaping due to the north of the lake at the entrance... Keep your eyes peeled, as this new addition to the Hampton village family is coming forward soon.

The very first of the Hampton Villages, established in 1998, Hampton Hargate, has now matured into a peaceful and relaxed village community. Designed around village greens, crescents and parkland settings, there are some much-loved resident allotments, extensive playing fields and numerous children's play parks.

A focal point for the community is the sought-after Hampton Hargate Primary School, rated outstanding at the most recent Ofsted review. Hargate village centre also has a small selection of shops to include a grocery shop, hairdressers and restaurants. The Tump, a modern man-made grassy mound, provides great views over Hampton and has become the perfect location for families gathering for summer fetes and picnics in the summer and sledging in the winter.

Recently launched Hampton Heights will provide 350 contemporary homes overlooking Haddon Lake to the south and in close proximity to the Peterborough Green Wheel, which is a 50-mile cycle/walking route which encircles the city.

As well as the lakeside views, Hampton Heights will feature central swathes of public open space including dedicated play equipment for a variety of ages.

Located to the south of the Serpentine Lake, its heart is the community centre with clubs and activities for every age group. Opposite the centre, Vale local shops offer two general stores, a chemist, a variety of take-away outlets, the waterside Moorhen pub and a number of restaurants.

The extensive footpaths around the community’s lakes, ponds and canals are popular all day long with dog walkers, wildlife watchers, those seeking a few minutes' peace, and children on their way to and from the very successful Hampton Vale Primary School.

Set between three Lakes: Beebys East, Beebys West, and Beebys North, Hampton Water provides a tranquil place to live, with a variety of homes, including two small hamlets of executive housing.
Hampton Water benefits from a wide range of leisure facilities on its doorstep, including a cricket pitch, a wakeboarding centre at Beeby's West, and direct access to the Country Park. The village will also be home to a primary school due to open in 2022, providing an ideal location for young families.
